CEO constantly brags about being a billion dollar company while his hourly employees aren't making much more than retail jobs are paying these days. No cost of living raises. 1 "performance based" raise a year, that somehow always ends up being 2-4% for employees that are "doing great!" 5 year "bonus" won't cover a trip to the grocery store Yearly holiday bonus is barely better than the 5 year bonus Management won't notice when you're an asset to the department, but will jump down your throat the second they THINK you've messed up Dress code must be followed even when working from home Lots of cliques and gossip in some departments HR won't let you transfer out of a bad department even after you've reached out about issues and unfair treatment Nothing is confidential in certain departments. Management will flat out tell you other people's personal business or tell you the name of someone if they've complained about you. The questionnaire you fill out during your yearly review asks "what can the company do to make this a better place to work" and then they completely ignore your answers. The break room is tiny, so most people eat lunch at their desks or in their cars Managers need leadership training. Yelling at your employees for making a mistake doesn't motivate them to do better. Some managers are only managers because they wanted more money and it's hard to move up without becoming a manager. Dental insurance covers almost nothing Computer system that runs the entire company is ancient, not user friendly and on the verge of collapse. There's a new system coming, but there's significant issues so far with that one as well Management constantly talks about how they're trying to "make the computer our hardest working employee" aka, trying to make as much automated as possible so they can get rid of half their office employees Big divide between the corporate side and the national accounts side. Different lingo. Different rules. Separate employee appreciation dinners. Almost no interaction between the two. You have to transfer departments in order to get a reasonable raise Toxic environment in some departments caused by uptight managers who rule by making their employees afraid to make a mistake Minor mistakes get brought up again and again, even if a person hasn't made the same mistake more than once Apps required to be downloaded to your personal phone for 2 step authentication to do things like clock in, log in to certain programs, etc No rhyme or reason to why certain phone calls get routed to certain departments, so employees waste a portion of their day answering calls that are for other departments and then trying to figure out who to transfer the call to.
