It wasn't perfect when Mogens was there. Change was welcome. But now the ground we walk on doesn't stop from moving under us. We had patience, but it is so far gone. The low pay, lack of energy here has checked me far out - despite the awesome opportunity and growth I have had over the years. The culture used to be amazing! And definitely is stronger in other pockets of DIRTT than others. But it is genuinely 100% the people you work with day to day that keep you going - despite being exhausted and frustrated with low pay. Low pay used to be something I ignored due to the great opportunity, great energy, amazing learning and amazing people. Over the years I've been able to move a few times and had great mentorship. It was amazing. Now there is no good morale. Zero. There is this corporate american ambiance to everything now. Everything is about the metrics and there feels like no more genuine care to the "people" of DIRTT or our growth or retaining talent. Honestly, the DIRTT factory depends SO much on a handful of very certain people. It's key to take care of them. I like the vibe for the environment, and what the ESG report that came out. It renewed my belief that DIRTT actually cares about being sustainable. But who the heck knows about our new values with new board members, CEO and all the rest of them.

All the good people are leaving. That adds to the low energy. So as much as we love our teams and our direct report bosses, there is a very bad sense that everyone at the top is just trying to play games to get their bonuses and make the shares go up to make them all money. It just feels so corporate and cold up top. And the CEOs/board changes have to stop. And all these people who don't even live in Calgary or appear to care about Calgary make it feel like we're run by another country. We don't care that much about all the games, we just want to do good work, but every time a new Joe goes on stage and says how much the "love DIRTT" and how there are "so many amazing people here" and "we can't do it without you"... we can't listen to it anymore. If you really care, we need pay, worklife balance, stability and good energy.
