Vantaggi
It's interesting work and the people are great if you can find the right team. There are also fun company events when you're in the office. If you're brand new in your career, they'll take a chance on you and you can learn a lot.
Svantaggi
Don't expect the reap any benefits from working for a large, growing company. DISH is antiquated in every way possible. The backend technology is not up-to-date or competitve and they're not interested in updating or innovating. You are expected to live solely for the company and work extra hours every single day no matter what. This doesn't mean you'll get rewarded for working overtime, that's simply the DISH Way. There is no possibility of working remotely, even in cases of weather and sickness. You are expected to take PTO days if you can't make it into the office by 9 am. When the pandemic started, it seemed like the perfect opportunity for the company to start caring about the lives of their employees. But they continued to force people into the office and risk their lives when most jobs can be done from home. If you want to stay home and not get Covid, you're told you'll probably be passed up for promotions because you're not able to collaborate with the team in the office. The compensation and benefits are well behind other large companies in the Denver area. We continue to beat goals but none of that success is trickled down to the employees doing the actual work (unless you count being told "good job" as compensation). Raises, bonuses, and promotions have been on hold for a year now while the everyday employee is working 3-4 jobs since leadership won't backfill any of the roles. And you're expected to take on the jobs of those who have left with a smile on your face.
