Svantaggi
Pay and Benefits - Dish pays competitively in most markets, HOWEVER, their annual review cycle is a terrible game of who is popular and got their name in the most peoples mouths the last 3 months of the year. I've been told by director level people that they do NOT give raises or promotions unless there is no other choice, typically if you've been in a position for more than 3 years then you're under market value and have 2 choices, you can accept an under market compensation package or you can leave, this is unfortunate as its caused us to lose a huge number of really good people since covid and inflation. Management - Dish has a LOT of "senior" management, "Heads of" "VP of" "directors" are all over the place, they all think that they are "THE BOSS", many of them act like sociopaths and treat their employees horrendously. We had a President a few years back that took out a lot of trash and reined in the nonsense, those days are past. Overtime - You will work whatever it takes to get the job done, overtime will be expected of you in nearly every position, if there is a deadline or important goal expect to work huge amounts of over time. If you're a salaried employee expect this to be unpaid and unrewarded. If you're mid level or above expect to be on call 24/7, this again will not be compensated. You'll be expected to put DISH work applications on your personal devices, this of course is "voluntary".
