They produce some cool work here and the owner is an experienced news guy with a trained eye for good content.

The pay was pretty meager. I generally edit corporate and ad work at $100/hr. At DMJ, I was working for an old friend and agreed to a $50 rate. On the last project I took on with them, their editorial direction was not communicated very well, resulting in an endless string of revisions. I believe, at the time, they were overbooked with work and had a hard time managing the load they had to manage. Understandably, they were a bit disorganized at that time. We've all been there when we're overbooked.
