DUG has very little concern for employee's families. Firstly, maternity and paternity benefits are basic (statutory) and therefore very poor compared to other companies (contractors: CGG, PGS, ShearWater; oil companies: BP, Shell, Total; and other industries such as teaching). Secondly, employees have tried to change the system for over two years but managers and HR are unwilling to concede. HR have to been known to argue that the statutory UK benefits are better than those in KL where they are based, much to the frustration of the UK employees. In fact, DUG does not have any UK based HR employees and therefore London's employees find it extremely difficult to discuss and tackle issues such as this. And finally, flexible/part-time working due to childcare/nursery pick up/drop off is extremely difficult to achieve and often, not possible. DUG is a young company with young staff but how will it survive when it's employees begin to start families and realise that the company will not support them. Future applicants: I strongly recommend that you discuss this at your interview as you may find that DUG does not suit your values.

A few great people there. A few cool things going on. A good place to have on your resume, if nothing else.

-No raises, reviews, one on one or bonuses the whole time I was there for anyone. -Everything feels like the CEOs own pet projects. He talks a big game, but can never stay focused. I think most people under him are too scared to tell him anything. -They hire cheap labor for temp work and expect immaculate results. -Like many places, they look wonderful from the outside, but you see the mess quickly once you get in. Don't leave a decent job to come here. And to the manager that made the comment about career progression for loyal employees, while the rest of the company worked from home, we came to the office everyday during one of the worst parts of the beginning pandemic, we were pushed to get things installed in a hurry, with no regards to the pandemic, but was told not to get sick.
