There’s so many things to be addressed properly. First of all, SUPERVISORS needs leadership training as to people look up at daan go as a good company that has to have inspiring strong leaders. My first day encounter with a supervisor puts so much impression already. She didn’t even introduce herself to me on my first day that you could easily tell that she was not approachable. There wasn’t really a good relationship with managers to begin with. I feel like there’s a strong need of training for management as the level of staff turnover is getting high. It shouldn’t be just managers that can provide feedback to the team but also the right to voice out for employees should be given a benefit of the doubt. I also signed a written agreement as a full time employee but not getting enough hours. I would get shift cancellation with no notice only to find out that the managers has to give way to their favorite staff to work those days that they cancelled on my end. They also have a groupchat on WhatsApp, it was suppose to share helpful information at work but turns out to be the managers way to shame employees that made simple mistakes. Managers have become too oblivious that they do not know how to correct the staff in a manner that they will not feel offended nor shamed. Training are not given properly as they pass it on the regular staff to do the work for them. They also micromanage. One time they called out an employee who was not wearing a hairnet. Meanwhile, their favorite employees got to rock any hairstyles they like. One of the bakers also don’t wear proper uniform, he/she would come in, in short shorts and slippers, yet managers won’t say anything about it regarding work and workplace safety regulations. The practice of favoritism at workplace over time can put a heavy toll on the mental health of the young adults who are just trying their best. Some action needs to be done soon before the company lose its credibility to this industry due to the lack of diligence of the Managers. Please accept this note as a constructive feedback to make the workplace a better environment especially for young individuals who are just starting their careers.
