This is by far the worst company I have ever worked for. I am not one to job hop, but it was so unbearable to work at this place that I only stayed 6 months. I worked as a data entry clerk at the Warsaw IN facility. Office management created a culture of fear. We were forced to work overtime, and if you couldn’t, it counted against you. My co-workers were afraid of requesting time off for doctor’s appointment, and in one instance, I had a co-worker not ask to leave when her daughter was sick, for fear of being penalized and have points docked against her. Overtime was always mandatory. On my interview I was told we would do overtime, IF ANY, only once or twice a week. I worked at Danco for six months and I maybe did not have to work overtime 10 times. Management was completely unapproachable, and emails would often be sent in a passive aggressive way to the whole office when someone made a mistake (rather than approaching and coaching you on what needed to be improved). When I first got the job, the office manager was a few months away from going on maternity leave, so they wanted me to be trained as fast as possible. I had little to no time for absorbing what I had been shown before being taught something else. On top of that, you had the pressure of the office staff for getting your tasks done as fast and as accurately as possible. If you had doctor’s appointments or could not work overtime, emails would be sent saying that “because of your need of not being here, the whole office is going to have to work extra hours”. A lot of pointing fingers, drama, managers talking about managers, managers talking about office staff. Even HR would be involved in drama and share confidential information about other employees to the whole office staff, making an open door policy useless. Overall a VERY toxic work environment with absolutely no opportunity for growth. Sad to say that I wasted 6 months in a company that did not add anything to my professional skills. If looking for a career is your main goal, stay away from working at Danco’s office.
