While Datameer has always claimed first mover advantage to data prep and BI native to Hadoop, the ever evolving tech landscape has provided Datameer with a chance to reinvent itself to a next generation self-service data pipeline company. As an earlier poster referenced, consistency in product messaging is in sync. This brings cloud, on-prem, hybrid deployments along with growth in the platform to start searching data sets without pre-defined schema's or aggregates via the patented Visual Explorer. New capabilities are being noticed by Analysts and adopted by existing and new clients. With many folks working remotely, culture is of added importance. Leadership has responded with transparent company-wide calls on the financial health, growth ambitions and product roadmap and underscores an open door policy. Though some may perceive feedback as too direct, many view it as efficient and way to expedite philosophical alignment.

As we all know, any time there is a shift in product or GTM strategy, things can be uncomfortable and some may be left behind...on purpose. When the prior CEO burned through VC funding, new leadership inherited an uncomfortable situation relative to culture and product challenges. Plus, has had to be overly judicious with spend. To expedite transformations, "new" Datameer leadership (as of Dec. 2016) purposely promoted an environment of 'healthy friction' to insure we see through the lens of our clients, partners and prospects.
