This workplace presents significant challenges and is not conducive to employee well-being. The company’s disorganization and questionable business practices are evident in its operations. Several individuals, including management, engaged in illegal drug use during work hours, leaving a pervasive odor. Management members, particularly the CEO (David Glenn Bruce Jr.), exhibited profanity and verbally abused employee(s), and even engaged in unprofessional discussions about them behind their backs. The company’s financial mismanagement is alarming, as it fails to pay its bills and faces civil lawsuits, including allegations of fraud. Pay delays and outstanding payments are common occurrences. The absence of a dedicated Human Resources department exacerbates the problems. The CEO, in particular, disregards employees’ privacy by leaving their personal information exposed. On numerous occasions, I observed other employees Social Security numbers, addresses, and other sensitive personal details not secured and laying around. Employer has had frequent relocations, some by choice and others not. The high turnover rate for such a small company (with less than 10 employees) is concerning. The overall work environment is detrimental to employees’ mental and physical health, fostering high levels of stress and anxiety. The company’s practices, including borderline discriminatory behavior, contribute to a lack of diversity. In my experience working at this company, I encountered significant anxiety and stress. Pay may have been good but not worth it.
