Vantaggi
A few talented people were there when I was, hopefully they have found other employment in a venue where they have the possibly to succeed.
Svantaggi
Ill start with just a general out look for anyone looking to work at the home office or in any of the venues. You are expected to do menial work, be scheduled for low hours but still hold them as top priority, as well as dealing with management that has never run an entertainment venue before. to put it simply you will be underpaid, under appreciated, and constantly watched. Form a technical perspective... There is nothing there that is from this decade in any way. Moving lights that were manufactured in 1998 are the backbone of the lighting department (MAC 250's). The audio staff as a majority do not have a solid basic knowledge in eq'ing, gain structure, or even the basic set up of a console. The owner, David Saxe, will consistently tell a story about how he is a "tech guy"... he has no idea what goes into the technical background of a show but his ego will not let him admit that he does not know. The IT department is deeply disengaged in problems they created. I have worked in theatre (yes David that is the proper spelling) and the corporate trade show industry as a Technical Director and Project manager for several years and have never come across an owner that is as horrible as David Saxe. If you are looking to come on as a manager, know that there is no budget for upgrading though David will talk a big game until it comes time to write a check.
