People tend to react poorly to certain situations

Great benefits, flexible time off, inclusivity (mostly), diverse team members. Once the team has settled from an unexpected personnel shift, work/life balance resumes. DF is really good at work/life balance.

The diversity sometimes seems like it is for show. By diversity I mean not only gender and race, but also disability. By the time you get one manager to understand your work style they play "musical managers" and you have to convince a new one that you need to be treated as an individual and not a number.
