They have an "open door" policy, which really encourages employees to undermine their supervisors and throw them under the bus. If your employees have a grudge against you for writing them up due to lack of performance, they will play Dayton Freights system to destroy their supervisor. A STRONG PRESENCE OF GOOD OLE BOYS CLUB. It does not matter how hard your work, it does not matter what experience you bring to the table, it does not matter how effective of a leader you are, if you are not a friend or family of the top leadership you will never develop a career here. You will be a front line supervisor for about 5 years and then they will attempt to push you out. Trust me on this.
