Vantaggi
The majority of the people you work with are helpful and supportive. This does NOT include Management.
Svantaggi
1. This company claims to be family oriented and small. While it is small, the company still finds a way to treat you like a number and use it to disregard your knowledge. From my experience, they should be focusing on one number - their own employee turnover. 2. This company preaches that they would like to be full of leaders, rather than managers. The most significant distinction between these two roles is leading by example. The company expects “transparent communication” but refuses to give that back to their employees in return. For example, management had a meeting scheduled to review my professional improvement which was cancelled with no explanation - even when an explanation was requested in writing. Also, once a month, everyone who is not at the top of this pyramid is asked to work from home for an afternoon so they can discuss future plans and the members of their teams. The issue with this meeting is the fact that they post the transcript of the meeting in a space accessible by all employees (yes, including those who are getting kicked out of the office). 3. This company has a ridiculous sick policy. Unless you have a doctors note and are out for 3 days, you will be expected to make up every hour you miss. Would a family oriented company really pressure you to work through illness, or would they allow you to let your body rest and recover so that you’re able to return quicker at your best? 4. Nothing you do here will seem to be good enough. Even if you come up with great creative ideas or significant updates to templates that are implemented, they won’t be recognized unless a favorite is the one to bring it to the table. 5. Overall, the work environment feels unhealthy.
