Vantaggi
Supportive colleagues who share the workload. The only genuine positive is the people. There are some truly talented, hardworking and decent individuals working here. Sadly they don’t stay long, Good people recognise a toxic environment and leave.
Svantaggi
Where to start. If you value your mental health, avoid this place. I mean that sincerely. The CEO of Techoraco, Ros Irving, runs this company on fear and total control. For her, employees are nothing more than money making machines. Targets increase every year without fail, people pour their hearts and souls into hitting them, and the appreciation you receive? If you’re lucky, a shoutout at a town hall. Sometimes not even that. The culture she has built is suffocating. Loyalists walk around the office literally counting heads and reporting back to her. Management operates in fear, I watched experienced professionals lie about going to the doctor because they were actually picking their kids up from school. That tells you everything. Do not go to HR. Anything you share will find its way back to the CEO. It is not a safe or confidential space. HR exists to protect leadership, not employees. Overtime is relentless and unpaid, we’re talking weeks of combined extra hours, evenings and weekends, driven largely by last minute disorganisation from management who don’t always know what they’re doing. Your personal life ceases to exist. You will burn out, event after event, waiting for things to slow down. They never do. The “international travel perk” means being booked on the cheapest, most inconvenient flights with no consideration for your wellbeing, walking straight from a long haul flight into a conference, then catching a midnight flight home. It’s exhausting, not glamorous. The DEI messaging is performative. What’s promoted publicly to attendees and sponsors bears no resemblance to what happens internally.
