Where to start... A toxic culture that starts at the very top. There's a vague vision of what the company wants to be but absolutely no idea how to get there. Instead of having the business collaborate on how to achieve the mission, the chosen few huddle in rooms and come out with one half-baked idea after the other then just try to will it into being and make everyone else feel stupid for not "getting it". The CEO openly tells people he gets easily "triggered" and seems to think that admission allows him to flip out whenever he likes, often at the last poor soul who spoke and often in group meetings. The business plan was clearly "make it more than content syndication so it's worth more and we can sell it fast". That isn't coming true; the business isn't doing well. So it has that frenetic feeling but all comms are "rah-rah everything is going great" which leaves everyone feeling gaslit. That's before I even get started on my Department which is a cesspool of stress, no direction and a clueless yet arrogant leader...
