Vantaggi
- Great holiday parties - Production team is really nice
Svantaggi
…Other than a low wage (I was fine with taking a pay cut for the opportunity I thought I was being given): - So incredibly unclear in their structure, procedures, goals, and direction. Depending on who you’re working with or alongside, the whole process and workflow changes. I tried streamlining it once and that did not go over well — even though I was encouraged to be proactive and do so. - TRAINING is so bad. Granted it was remote work, but you’re basically thrown a bunch of information, told: “If have any questions let me know” …but when you ask a question (when you finally have to use the program 2 months later that you were shown on day 1) you’re told, “I already showed you this I believe, but ok…” I have screenshots because i was in shock of the responses i’d get. Just so rude. They tell you to be independant and “Figure it out,” but only once you’ve spent 3 hours doing a project they pop in and say, “No do it this way!!!!” The micromanaging is misplaced and is time consuming; if they’d take the time to properly lay out instructions or train their employees, they’d save time. - A lot of them (the core team) seem to have very little idea about what they’re speaking on. Their knowledge of design and what is happening on-trend is very low. - They hire new grads & ‘inexperienced’ people under the guise of giving you a break due to your potential. You’re reassured you’ll be trained & guided. At first you’re grateful until you *realize*… Ex. They’re getting a Junior Designer to do 10 different things that they just not be tasked with doing. They don’t care though, because they’re not knowledgeable enough on design or production to notice or care (I’m purposely being vague here.) - After reading the more negative (realistic) reviews, it’s crazy how spot on they are. I made the mistake of airing my grievances to my superior in a very professional way, and while she claimed she’s happy I did that it was later thrown in my face. - They don’t trust their employees. They outsource a lot overseas. They always assume the worst. I was once asked to ask another employee (a developer) if the marked hours they punched in were right “Because I don’t trust him all the time” — that should’ve been my first red flag. - NEPOTISM. When I read the other reviews mentioning this… spot on. Their core management are all old friends/family. I had no one to turn to when I had an issue.
