Very politcal, need to step carefully. The systems are terrible and the proposed solutions are so large that they end up failing. Long term goals are routinely overruled by new initiatives from senior management. There's a lot of talk about communication and making things better for employees, but cost cutting and new regulations routinely trump those initiaves. It can be hard to make meaningful changes from the trenches.
