- nice galway office in center of town - opportunity to work from home

- meetings all day every day with people who don’t like each other, lots of talking over each other and trying to get the one up on people - expectation to log in early and leave late to get work completed, passive aggressive comments and emails from those who come in early/stay late - work is never completed due to all the meetings - rude co workers with lack of understanding towards new starters - new starters not simply left out of office drama to find their feet and make their own path, lots of negativity - management know how certain people behave but simply shrug their shoulders and look away, big problem in Galway office as new hire managers are acquiring employees in America, UK who are technically ‘below’ them but feel a sense of seniority because they have been at the company much longer - pay is not really worth it considering the above (guess that depends on the role though)

Our Galway team consistently ranks high for culture and camaraderie and what you describe certainly does not reflect the supportive, professional and collegial work environment we strive to build and promote. We’re also sorry to hear that you felt our onboarding and training for new hires was not sufficient. We have been making significant investments in onboarding, training and enablement at all levels over the past year, as it’s important that all our team members are set up for success — especially as we grow our leadership position in the GRC space. With regards to meetings and long hours, helping our teams strike a good work-life balance is a top priority. We’ve been very focused on helping colleagues create balance by investing in and launching initiatives like Recharge Weeks, Meeting Free Wednesdays, wellness programs, our Employee Assistance Program and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), however, it sounds like we could have done more to support you during your time here. Leadership will tell you want you want to hear to keep you focused on being a BDR instead of helping you get promoted. Majority of AE type roles are not posted internally and do a ton of external hiring instead of promotions.
