In my experience, the CEO has a challenging personality. Decisions can feel reactive rather than strategic, and this creates instability and frustration for teams. The COO is widely perceived by staff as difficult to work with. His style can come across as authoritarian; he appears to struggle with impulse control, and interactions with him are often described as stressful rather than constructive. Many employees do not feel consistently supported by their direct managers.
