- Rapid company decline since May 2024 - Payment delays have become frequent, with contractors often left unpaid for extended periods, despite assurances otherwise. - Core staff also experienced payment delays in September 2024, marking the first time this happened to them. - Employees were asked to continue working through these challenges due to promises of stability through an acquisition process, but this was followed by company-wide redundancies just weeks later. - Despite reassurances that the buyer valued the people and had no intention of cutting staff, 40% is in the process of being let go, creating significant uncertainty for those remaining. - Leadership hasn’t faced the same level of accountability, despite being at the root of many issues. While they made heavy promises to keep the team intact, they’ve consistently backtracked on their commitments.

We value the input of all our team members, and it's clear that there have been challenges, particularly in recent months, that have affected your experience. We’re excited that Distributed is now under new ownership as part of an acquisition, although appreciate the journey has been challenging. It’s a fresh start, and we’re working hard to strengthen our financial position and improve communication at all levels of the company. Here are some key updates based on your feedback: Payment Delays: With the acquisition, we’re restructuring our financial processes to ensure everyone is paid on time moving forward. This is a top priority for the leadership team. Job Security & Redundancies: While we’ve had to make some tough decisions recently, we’re committed to minimising further disruptions. The leadership is focused on stabilising the workforce and providing clearer communication about the company’s direction and job security. Leadership & Transparency: We understand that transparency has been a concern (particularly during some of the more sensitive periods around the acquisition), and we’re making it a priority to create more open communication channels. Great team ethos and fast-paced, but very supportive environment. Challenging, but in a very enjoyable way. Plenty of encouragement for an individual to succeed and for the right person, with the right attitude, great opportunities for progression.
