Vantaggi
I absolutely loved the people I worked with every day. This is hands downs the best thing about Division D. We also had great office activities, although at times they felt more like a gimmick to keep people happy when their day to day task did not. The Media Buyers managers are pretty great, they are all really helpful and just wanted you to do your best. Even the managers that have now left and gone on to other things were pretty great! Free snacks and causal dress code. Great position to start right out of college, but the actual job task will get pretty repetitive after 18 months
Svantaggi
Salary: The “strong base salary” that they mention in the interview is literally a joke. The uncapped commission is only relevant for AEs. As a media buyer we got “bonuses”, these bonus are very unrealistic and the only person meeting them on a consistent basis is the VP of Media Buying. The bonus structure for MBs needs to be reworked so it is actually benefiting the whole team. I am not saying the goals need to be lowered, but being on a percentage commission scale like the rest of the company would be nice. If the bonus structure stays as is I would not suggest this Media Buying position for anyone. They money is just not there for how hard we are worked. Growth: This is a great entry level job to get your feet wet, but understand that is all it is an "entry level position". There is growth in the company as far as a great new title, but at the end of the day your day to day task will not change. You will still being doing cold calls and cold emails so don’t get confused when they say “growth potential” in your interviews. This is just not a long term job position; it's more of a starter job to your career. EVERY SINGLE PERSON in a senior or manger position as a Media Buyer has left the company under 2 years except for the VP of Media Buying, this should tell you everything you need to know about this position and the "growth opportunity".
