They do not have process for anything other than work. Even first month salary was delayed by 10 days. And only process at work, its 3 days discussion and 7 days practical problem solving which is a very impractical way to solve an issue if s/he is a new hire. They wont explain existing code even if developer request many times to do that. Working hours are practically longer than 10 hours on most days since with all info they provide a new hire wont be able to make that. I think all reviews posted here are by co-founders or some employees who fell in love with doselect. They never give a clear overview of product before hiring. Because if they do, most develop[ers wont join them as product is just another test platform even though they boast it is something else like code quality engine. What product does is very much similar to flake8 github precommit hook which evaluates code one of the few difference being it provide test monitoring. 1. Very toxic place to work in. 2. Offered many perks like free food and gym when they released an offer letter and food means not just lunch, food all times a day. They provided terrible lunch and to have a good lunch one should walk about 2 kms from their office. 3. They do not Provide(d) ID cards. 4. They know nothing about things EPF or they were just acting like that. 5. Salary was delayed.6. No Payslip was provided until a request for same was made many many times. 7. Hire/Fire decisions are not taken by HR instead that will be taken by Product head/CTO. So If they think an employee is not so friendly these two can simply fire them. 8. They are just trying out people. Whenever theres a requirement they hire and when that requirement is done they do firing.( pic from blog) 9. Their product is just like hacker rank or codility. They just exaggerates and make others feel like their product is at a much higher level than all existing ones.It is just an automated test platform. 10. And people using F-word more than two times every minute! They used that against others from which one can be sure that They will use same against s/he when one is not there with them. 11. Most (may be all) their HR operations were outsourced. When a request for payslip was made, they contacted some one else and it took them 2-3 days to get a payslip for an employee of theirs. 12. False review comments. 13. Negative reviews are never welcome even though they ask for it. 14. Company failed pathetically to overcome mediocrity. Performance review was conducted every month and they said performance really improved a lot after every review. Then In the last review after one of their main modules was completed ( I did it completely). They told commitment that I brought to table was not up to mark!! (Seriously! not up to mark after getting their module completed and praised by marketing team that they were able to demo it to customers and customers were happy!?) Interesting thing is that they told my code quality is perfect and that's what they expected while firing discussion was going on. And one of their co-founders mentioned my salary do not add up to the bills. My package was just above 8L only. May be they just run out of money, i don't know. And I worked till 2am or 3am many days which was not because of my fault and reason being they didn't give me proper on boarding and a clear picture about what I have to do. Requirement was a single word like saying, 'hey! we want you to do our network analytics module with python'. which will be a complicated thing. One more interesting thing he said me is that they are conducting these kind of reviews for every employee including co-founders and if any one fall below their mark, that will be a serious thing!!!. About firing after: I got an email one day mentioning they need to discuss about performance review. I checked with HR on this since sounded real bad to me. But HR told may be other co founders have to talk with me on something and that might not be related to firing. Because HR was not knowing that one of their employee was about to get fired. May be he was not involved while that decision was taken by others. And their delivery head carried on with further discussions, told me after performance review they sent an email to their employees who worked with me or who is affected by my deliverables. At that time they, including all were just 19. And this decision was taken collectively. I felt offended since instead of giving a feedback to me he just sent that email out to everyone in team.I don't know whether that is true or not. Because no one told me my work was bad. Every time I talked to one of the co-founders they told quality my work is above the mark. They mentioned they do not have enough to pay salary. And the base package for a developer is considered as a luxury in doselect! Only developer with 4+ years I found in their team was just myself other than some of co-founders. And they were not able to afford any develop[er who asks for a standard package considering experience. One of the most recent reviews mentioned it is a sinking ship with an aimless captain. They were the same before.
