Vantaggi
- The past months have seen a lot of internal changes, opening up communication and successfully increasing morale. - Although the team shrunk in size, velocity has significantly increased across everything from engineering to sales and even to business operations. - High IQ and EQ workforce, with an exceptionally high average understanding of healthcare and healthcare experience - The work we do can directly impact hundreds of people, some decisions go from ideation to implementation in days - Great physical space to work, by the Public Garden, free cold brew and snacks, close to public transit etc - Especially since the changes there is close to a meritocracy. Someones experience or degrees earned aren't enough to trump good ideas. -The people are very kind, and very sharing. If you are looking to surround yourself with fantastic professionals this is a great place to work.
Svantaggi
- Although the above are pros, a few are cons for some people. Such a horizontal management structure promotes a bit of cannibalism. If someone is new to a meeting, or especially the company, it can be a bit jarring how engaged and knowledgable the room will be every single day. Not a good environment for someone who needs structure and status - Despite the high achievers and successful projects it is very rare to see promotions or even public praise of outcomes. There are a ton of positive vibes and compliments around helping each-other, but this is not a company for someone looking to rapidly rise to a position or rapidly take on responsibility. For how fluid the subject matter experts are it sometimes feels like the company is trying to force an "old school" personnel model that can be a bit suffocating.
