Company is new, flashy, and looks good on a resume. You get a sense that something exciting is always happening whenever the company gains new customers or clinics. Many people are friendly outside of billing department. Co-workers are always helpful and willing to chip in. Non customer facing positions or positions where you can stay under the radar can be enjoyable. Benefits aren't the best, but they are adequate. Salary is adequate.

There seems to be a sense that one can go from being championed employee of the month to being fired within a short amount of time. Management doesn't make it clear what is expected of you. Without that knowledge, some employees flounder. Upper-management tends to get too involved with certain situations. It seems you could do 95% of your job perfectly, but if you're a customer-facing employee and somebody makes acomplaint to an upper level manager, you could find yourself quickly pushed out of the company instantly. Employees sense this and it creates an unsettled feeling that never goes away. Promotions seem to be handed out randomly. Not all jobs are properly posted so that everybody has a shot at them. It seems the person who befriends the boss the most usually gets a better position handed to them. There are many employees who have been with the company a long time and easily fake their way through their days and contribute little to nothing. They throw their work over the wall and let others do their work for them.
