Vantaggi
Remote-first company, solid company retreat perk and home office perks, decent amount of PTO offered, relatively small team so you can easily get to know your colleagues if you choose to. Offers especially competitive salaries if you're residing outside of the U.S. Great place to work at if you are able to simply clock in and clock out, without getting too involved in the internal happenings.
Svantaggi
The org makes bold claims about how open-minded, progressive and positive their work culture is. However, there are several systemic issues that are being willfully ignored by upper management related to diversity (a majority of the company consists of white european heterosexual men), fair and transparent compensation (some employees are grandfathered into higher salaries than newcomers, this results in large pay gaps between employees with similar roles), a lack of well documented and thorough policies and procedures in the case of harassment, bullying, offensive or discriminatory language, among a plethora of other issues they like to pretend don't exist. Also, the company is legally based out of California so they require that their global employees sign U.S 1099 independent employment contracts, which are notorious for not providing legal protections for its workers in case of wrongful termination, severance, etc. This means they can (and do) get away with almost any labor related malpractice, because each employee's local country laws do not apply to them, even if the individual is paying taxes to the country they reside in.
