No direction. No vision. No management. No product. In 2016 alone the company laid off 4 entire teams, often within a few months of making mass hires to those teams. They frequently hire people without any idea of what their job will look like or how to support it. There is no management and no direction, so each person's workflow is completely different and their work product is unique, preventing any process from being implemented. In the same year, the company has pivoted multiple times and is very unclear about what they do or sell. In 2016 it has been a facebook publisher, a medium publisher, an advertising agency, a software company, and most recently a TV show. The culture is toxic with a lot of cliques, internal conflict, and finger pointing.

Thank you for your feedback. Dose has responded to the incredibly fast-moving changes that are happening within the digital publishing and social space by pivoting several times and reinventing ourselves. This has resulted in changes to roles, strategies, and accountabilities. Our environment is appealing to employees and candidates who seek out dynamic opportunities and new professional experiences.

More people are hired into roles that they will actually perform, unlike in the past

- Upper management has always been a mess, is stifling and prioritizes an inner circle. It's created a toxic work environment for many that is detrimental to mental health. Often feels like no one can do the work better than upper management. - The company has tried to pivot to The Next Big Thing in social media like a teenager going through phases in middle school, ending in lay offs, a lack of transparency and identity crises - Employees are overworked, underpaid, and undervalued - Lots of turnover and no hesitation to fire people leads to distrust and a "what's today's drama?" mindset, covered by an excuse like "our company and social media just moves too fast"
