There are no pros to this company, would give it zero stars if I could
Svantaggi
An ingrained culture of bullying and belittling. The CEO is an unpleasant character, and no one will stand up to him. There is always someone within the company who is the current 'target', this person will be fired and their reputation dragged through the mud, At which point a new person will become a target and the process starts again. There are odd processes in place that make no sense to anyone, a lot of in house systems that are not fit for purpose, but everyone is made to use them No doubt there will be a reply questioning my integrity, which is absolutely impeccable.
Vantaggi
The working-from-home arrangement promotes a good work-life balance which is especially beneficial when compared to other companies that have set office times. There are some excellent people working for the company who are invested in its success, and are welcoming towards new members of staff. There is some potential for exposure to a decent range of projects depending on the role a person is in.
Svantaggi
Little credence is given to industry standards or common practices of software development. The company instead opts for an idiosyncratic and inflexible approach to development. This extends to, in some cases, improper use of programming language constructs that contravenes software patterns commonly used by developers. Communication and team organisation is a concern for the company, with insufficient steps being taken to remedy the isolation from colleagues that comes as a result of the working-from-home arrangement. Employee turnover has been very high over the past couple of years. Many developers have joined the company only to leave in less than two years. This is likely due to the particular practices that have developed within the company - it is somewhat at odds with what developers have come to expect from their profession.
