Vantaggi

You can skip out for an entire week out of the state on vacation (unpaid) and none of the managers will even have noticed that you were even gone - basically "no-call, no-show" for a whole week and they won't do nothing about it because management at that dealership doesn't care. Pretty cool perk on that end for a part time coordinator. As for the scheduling for a coordinator, you can show up when you want or not show up at all to work and not have to notify management about it. You don't even have to submit a schedule to them. Another cool perk.

Svantaggi

This company is a cutthroat place to work for.Their motto is cheap pay for "great work culture". As a part timer and for all intent purposes this is a lackey's position, you don't get bonuses, pay raises or even yearly work reviews. It's the most thankless job in the entire company. They don't include you in the meetings, usually you are the last one to hear about anything. Major lack of communication on their part. They go through a lot of employees at the dealership in Mesa. Management is absolutely terrible there. As a dealership coordinator they don't even notice you're there. For instance, you can get pigeonholed into one task. Doing two-a-days out on the 101 Freeway 8 hours a day, 4 days a week for an entire year. Plus, if you come into this company thinking that you're going to work for this company and its going to help you enhance your integrity you're mistaken. You will lose your integrity working for them. For instance, as a part time Dealership Coordinator management will not grant your 45 hours PTO that you have earned and you lose all it at the end of the year but you can skip out for an entire week out of the state on vacation (unpaid) and none of the managers will even have noticed that you were even gone - basically "no-call, no-show" for a whole week and they won't do nothing about it because management at that dealership doesn't care. Pretty cool perk on that end for a part time coordinator. As for the scheduling for a coordinator, you can show up when you want or not show up at all to work and not have to notify management about it. You don't even have to submit a schedule to them. Another cool perk. You have VERY little exposure to the customers. Try to think of this job as being self employed where there is no accountability on your part and it's the lowest position in the company which means you are off the grid pretty much except when they need a trade done once in a blue moon. As a coordinator, its hard to be in one place because you are everywhere. The "Jack of All Trades" is a gimmick that simply states that you will have the most thankless position in Drive Time that you are going to be pigeonholed into one simple task, picking up cars and testing them.

Vantaggi

It use to operate like a startup. Flexible with the right management. Outings can be fun, but most of the fun has been laid off or budgeted out. Red tape, metrics, favoritism, and budgeting ruined everything. I miss what it use to be.

Svantaggi

They have let go at least 50% of IT, and another 20% have left on their own if not more within the last year. The good old boy club is very strong, was told there's no where to move up. Years in a row never having any actual achievable goals to show accountability for promotion. They are running out of technical knowledge and the only one's who are staying are those who've been there for a long time, only. Even some of those are getting laid off unexpectedly. Having connections outside of work seems to matter more than skill or contributions wether that's code or hours spent. Be wary of applying here, they are running on a skeletion crew on just about every team, this was not the case a year ago. What's left is not the biggest contributors or most impactful team members. Once the CTO (Greg) left, it all started a shift, a little over a year ago. No sense of ownership on any of the teams, while every team is so fragmented. One could be implimenting something affecting the whole company and get laid the same day.
