      DroneDeploy has a problem treating employees with respect. I am not sure where they hire their leads from, but in my experience, a company that has no respect for all employees is destined to fail. It's very obvious that the company pumps their own reviews since no one wants to work for them.

      Everything. From the pay to the lack of work/life balance to micromanagement, DroneDeploy is a great company for those that love to bully others because they are so insecure about their own skills, that they can't do their own job correctly. A company that does not trust or train employees is designed to fail. Extremely unprofessional, please avoid this place if you want to keep your integrity and sanity in a good place.

      - Great engineering culture: thoughtful decision-making, room to grow + internal promotions, engineers feels like they're on the same team, leadership actually cares about what engineers think. - Compelling technology: robots flying in the sky and walking around is really cool - Competitive compensation package: recruiters usually cannot match my base

      - Leadership is sometimes a bit overly optimistic/ambitious when setting goals. Fortunately, there is NOT a culture of engineers working overtime on nights + weekends to make up for this; they just change scope or resources or deadlines. - Engineering feels understaffed. This may be a symptom of the above ambition. But I think it's also because the company has a lot of technical surface area. Every 4 weeks when it's my turn to be the support on-call engineer, it's a full-time job.
