Vantaggi

Making new friends, and practice on updo's and blowout, the updo classes don't help!

Svantaggi

Let me start by saying this isn't a "angry man gets fired rant" this is a "how can you be so inconsiderate?!" For the first few months I worked at Drybar I thought wow how cool it will be to work at a salon that's a "come as you are, we are family kind of place" after being here for over a year I realized once your there they work you like a dog and complain more then encourage you. There were time we went without a brake or we couldn't take 5 min before taking our next client even I a day that was super busy. I'm talking back to back client, you think they would give people who have children at home time to check in for 5 min or return a text. Nope! Don't get me wrong I completely understand good customer service, and going above and beyond. But how far do you go when your staff suffers. Now we open at 7am it's cool for early birds but what if your on your way to work and revive a text at 6 that you don't need to come in till 9. Now you wake up at 5am or maybe later depending on where your coming from but the point is "thanks for the late notice!" I'm only traveling a half hour to 40 min to get to work on time. How inconsiderate and then have the nerve to tell me "well you still can't clock in." "Oh it's only a couple hours" are you kidding me?! Now let's talk about working now that you waited to clock in for a couple hours. Blowouts are $40 regardless of length and style, cool right! So for all the people reading this to get your hair done, JACKPOT! Not only are you paying nothing for a good style and ambiance but you can possibly (more then likely) get a free blowout. All you have to do is complain, something as simple as my part is on the wrong side or my water came late. Now as a stylist not only did your client receive a free blowout but they also have gotten another free service just so they can come back. Now what if everything went well and you did an updo that cost around $80 the stylist gets $8, oh you sold product nice! What's 10% of $35? I think you get the point. Let's not mention there are a few checks where your money is messed up because they forgot to add commission or some of your hours you worked that week. Oh your working on a holiday yea wait next year for that paid time. I can go on but I think I have said enough. So If you want to work for a place that just takes care of customer service but neglects the staff well Drybar is just the place for you!..

Vantaggi

The BEST thing about being employed as the hairstylist is that you do not have to worry about bringing/having a “BOOK” ; like in some cases where hair salons would prefer a new stylist to have a clientele base upon starting! Drybar hairstylist can easily build a “Booked & Busy” client based request if you follow these 3 tips: •SPEED (45min tops for the whole process)! •CONSISTENCY (Client consultation, Shampooing, Styling, ReBook)! •SCHEDULE ( wether you Full/Part time); Time Management is the key to maintaining your daily/weekly/monthly schedule!

Svantaggi

Drybar is NOT your average corporate salon, they DO NOT like for hairdressers to sit around riding their CLOCK w/o nothing to do, they will have you clock out for the rest of your shift and send you home (ex.; if your shift is from 12pm-6pm and the salon slowdown around 2:15pm ( if you NOT cleaning, sweeping, restocking) they will send you home); literally, just putting you at 2hrs 15min for the day!! Highly played FAVORITISM (Depending on your “Home Salon” from District, manager to Salon manager ), *YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A VALID REASON * ( JEALOUSY or HATING either or both are very UNPROFESSIONAL in the workplace)!
