Duco's product is genuinely groundbreaking in its space and where the right customer problem exists - which is often - it's a brilliant solution to a problem which has not previously been well solved. The engineering team especially are dedicated and talented, and the culture is open, honest and friendly. I made some great friends at Duco and had the opportunity for new experiences which helped me develop as a person and in my career. The benefits were good for a company of Duco's size, with unlimited holiday as well as a good range of more standard market benefits and a strong focus on employee morale and workplace equality. For anyone willing to get stuck into the product and understand its capabilities, it can be a really rewarding experience with a lot of scope for exploring other applications; as a pre-sales user, the knowledge that it would do what I expected when I expected was a huge bonus as it meant that I could focus on what the customer was looking for rather than worrying that my demo would fall over

Like all growing companies Duco faces a conflict between servicing the increasing demands of its client base and growing that client base which means that development can be torn between what is strategically right and what is tactically necessary, which can obviously mean that there is some conflict and some people across all departments have to go above and beyond to balance expectation and reality - though it should be said that customer expectations are generally caused by customers trying to push the product into new areas rather than (in the main) deliberate overselling. It's not an insurmountable problem but it probably does mean that they need to take a step back and take some painful decisions about whether they need to focus on consolidating what the product is best at and which other industries they could sell it to, rather than trying to be all things to all people in one narrow field. All companies - especially growth stage ones - face problems of this nature, however, and as long as Duco stick to their policy of listening to their employees, they will get through them.

Convenient location in midtown. Good group of people in NY - revenue focused office

Management is completely blind to the fact company is becoming less competitive. Innovation is extremely slow paced. Office is small and building is dirty. Company is a shell of its former self and revenue is rapidly trending down. Big mistake to join the “vision” management has. Company is trying to sell and product often loses to competitors or AI builds.
