They do not pay fair for their ridiculous expectations. The manager in at least one department is either mentally or physically absent most of the time. Those above you do not know when you do a fantastic job but are hypercritical when there is even a minor mistake. Most of the salespeople, from what I hear frequently, are untrained and unsuccessful in asking/ delivering information most of the time. This causes massive issues down the line. A small handful of senior employees are rude and have an egotistical complex that makes it hard for newer employees to have a meeting or even ask questions. They would rather throw you under the bus than have a small mark on their record. I got yelled at multiple times by more than one person for following the rules. No matter what speed you work at , it is not good enough, as management doesn’t actually bother to understand what you do or bother to communicate. Overall, what little communication there is in this office is faulty. The entire process is absolutely defunct. Basically every position is a thankless job except for a selected favorited few. If a new employee screws makes a mistake- it gets torn apart and you are labeled a bad employee. If a senior employee makes the same mistake- they genuinely don’t care less. Besides the few I talked with, I felt very alienated even for work activities. I could go on. Avoid this place if you can afford it.

There is a genuine enthusiasm and involvement from leaders at this organization. They do some very innovative work and are constantly developing new technologies and innovative solutions to problems. They consider work/life balance to be important, but expectations are high and that importance is diminished in crisis.

There is a tremendous amount of micromanagement and communication is poor at best. The same problems are rehashed and never solved. A tedious and repetitive quality control system is used. Whenever a mistake is made the system is expanded, even if that's not the problem. The sales team calls the shots and every project is a rush. Engineers keep their mouths shut and the resulting design mentality is "let's try it and see if it works". Customers often pay the price. Managers are quick to blame and slow to listen and coach, especially when an engineer can be singled out as the problem.
