Family environment - Recensione dipendente - Warehouse Worker presso Dynamic Fastener

I started working for Dynamic Fastener fresh out of the military over 30 years ago. I've had the pleasure of training dozens of new hires over the years in 2 of the 7 branches and I am proud to say that like myself, 60% of the employees have stuck around for 15 - 30 years. I believe they stick around because the owners have always maintained a family environment. They achieve this by doing things such as bringing all of the branches together annually for a 3 day weekend of team building exercises and various fun activities. This company has successfully been in business with the original owners for 40 years because they take care of there employees. They make health care affordable by paying a large portion so you don't have to. A 401K plan where they match what you put away for your retirement & weeks of paid vacation. You can't say that about a lot of companies today.

Giving up my weekends 5 times a year for inventory. Didn't bother me as much when I was younger.

Everyone there is very knowledgeable and good at what they do, and that is what makes the company great. The owner is extremely intelligent and very hardworking.

The owner is also the type of person that once he gets something in his head, there is no changing it. He likes to show that he is the one in control, which is fine: he's the owner. However, he likes to play games and it is very easy for him to trap you in a Catch-22 that you will not win.
