everything else - DO NOT WORK HERE - YOU ARE BETTER OFF HOMELESS, JOBLESS, LIVING IN A BOX RATHER THAN WORKING AT THIS EVIL PLACE - I can only speak from an instructor point of view, but they made it VERY obvious that they do not care about their instructors. They would celebrate ALL of the staff's birthdays, wedding showers, baby showers, appreciation days (tech days, secretary days, etc.) but when teacher appreciation day rolled around or any of the faculty's birthdays, weddings, babies, etc. NOTHING - NOTHING was done, EVER. All the staff are given individual offices with computers, phones and they can close their doors and eat lunch or have privacy for a break in their office whenever they need to. Faculty, on the other hand, get no office, no computer, no phone, they are forced to walk around campus until they find an empty classroom to use a computer and get their work done and they cannot eat in the classrooms or close the door for privacy. So faculty are constantly bothered by outside noise, or other students coming into the classrooms because they can't close the door for privacy, and they are forced to eat in the extremely small break room with the students or in their personal vehicles. The two bathrooms that everyone is forced to share (staff, faculty, students, etc,) are disgusting. The pay and benefits are horrible, regardless of the title you hold unless you are best friends with one of the blood sucking leeches that run the place. After some time with the company, I was promoted to a leadership faculty position and my pay increase was pathetic. Most of us who held faculty leadership positions treated are employees with respect because we knew we were all suffering fromt he same treatment, but there were some faculty leaders who treated their faculty horribly and this was allowed. Faculty schedules could change every five weeks, CONSTANTLY and faculty could get stuck with 15 hour days, forced to be on campus possibly until 11 pm and be back for an early morning class by 7:30 am the next day but most of the faculty leadership picked up night classes to keep their faculty from having to do this. However, there were some faculty leaders that NEVER worked nights, and forced their faculty to have horrible schedules every five weeks so they could do what they wanted. And nothing was ever done about this, even though faculty were constantly leaving because the hours are mentally and physically unhealthy. And even though you are salary, you are forced to clock in and out like an hourly employee, and you're forced to do a minimum of 40 hours, although, let's be honest, they make it impossible to do less than 40 hours with the 15 hour days and other ridiculous requirements. And do not bother working hard, they WILL NOT appreciate it, they will only look after their buddies, but they will make you think they are looking after you by giving you promotions with "titles" that basically mean nothing, because you won't get any more money or resources as a result of these "promotions." And the way they treat students is horrible. This organization is money hungry, they care NOTHING about the students, even though that is the image they try to put out. The admissions reps are forced to be "car salesman-like" and will tell students ANYTHING to get them to sign on just so they can get that loan money. I had students who were homeless, working jobs DURING class time and were told it's ok to miss class for work, just tell your instructor. How can a student pass a course if they cannot attend? They should have never been signed up in the first place. I had students who were pregnant and told to go ahead and start a new term even though they were at their due date and knew they would miss class, but the financial adviser wants that loan money for the new term so they get them to start the new term anyway, knowing they are going to fail. It's pathetic and it takes advantage of people who are trying to better themselves. And even if you are a staff member, any decent person would not want to work for a company and support a company that takes advantage of students like this. I even heard one staff member say, after some more horrible things had happened and a student was found in the parking lot, high on drugs, who had (surprise) just been signed a student loan to start a new program because he was told this was the best thing to help him with his drug addiction (really), and in defense one staff member said "but this place gives students a chance, and those of us that work here depend on the check to support our families." I doubt most families would want mom or dad working for an evil place that takes advantage of people just to put food on the table. Working for McDonald's would be more respectful and honestly the pay wouldn't be much different.

Very heavy on work/life balance. We do have some months that are "black-out" months, but we know in advance so we can plan accordingly. Holiday pay is given for holidays worked/off. DOA & ADOA are both phenomenal. They push us to our limits and past them, that's only to make us grow and to be a better team allover.

Pay could be more. A lot of things are out of our control, as admissions, and that's hard to have to wait for someone else. The students typically come to us throughout their program, because we've built trust with them, but we don't always have an answer for certain things because it is out of our department.
