Dynamic environment, where everyone that wants to take responsibility has the opportunity to step up.

A lot of the company's success is based on self management in a collaborative environment. This seems to work better in good times than in bad. The flip side is clearly that it doesn't scale so well when people have a greater need for direction and follow-up.
