The company employs generally very nice and dedicated people to work with. The overall compensation is above industry average and EMC has been know for top qualify both in services and the products from up until 3-5 year and before where best products around.

Not hiring A players anymore. Spreadsheet rules in sales, not the trade itself. SFDC is used as a management inspection tool only, not to leverage the benefits of CRM. Poorly implementation cross functional groups and acquired companies, leading to people having to drive lost of manual silly and unnecessary tasks. This is dumbing down the salesforce as smart people leave and move on.

So huge that level of dysfunction must be measured in your immediate surroundings rather than the company as a whole. USD / EMSD has had difficulty balancing business priorities with engineering realities. They have a 1-2% layoff every year, and if your business unit is targeted, could be as high as 8 - 14% in your unit.
