The updated pay scales benefit all employees and there is not always a set structure in the positions so there are opportunities to be creative.

Svantaggi

-they do not put the students first -promotions are not based on merit, it is based on if you please upper management -they do not recognize the hard work of their employees -there is a very big disconnect between upper management and school administration which results in poor decision making -there is a high level of nepotism among upper management and commissioners -pedagogy and best practices are not priorities

The hourly pay is very good compared to typical school support roles. Short shifts make it easy to balance with school or family. The kids are fun, energetic, and you form connections quickly. Simple, straightforward responsibilities once you get used to the routine.

Svantaggi

Extremely limited hours — hard to rely on as a main source of income. The workplace politics can be stressful. Some adults behave more like the kids than the kids do. Communication between staff isn’t always clear or consistent. Hard to feel long-term stability or growth in this type of role.
