      Great work environment and good location. The company is very dedicated to making employees happy. The bank is very conservatively run, so job security is pretty much never an issue.

      Conservative and risk averse to a fault. Most employees, especially managers, are lifers, so advancement is very slow. Nonexecutive salaries are well below market. Stuck in the past and very slow to evolve. Still practice a lot of outdated banking and business methods for no other reason than “that is how we have always done it.”

      Great lower level employees, wonderful customers. Lots of great memories.

      Merging made us stronger but I think they lost sight of the valued customers that helped build the company. They no longer value loyalty. Hiring to many contract Employees that have lofty ambitions and no follow through so their longevity is limited. CEO is great but I think the management from mergers treat the company like where they came from to the point that ESSA may no longer be the surviving company.
