The company is well-liked by customers, generates reliable revenue, and offers work-life balance to employees. Leadership has also recently made considerable investments into culture to improve the psychological safety of the organization and teach employees specific skills related to trust building, adhering to core values, and listening to one another differently.

While the company is 75 years old, it has gotten by on inefficient or broken systems and processes, and a lack of clarity around roles, responsibilities, compensation, and career development. While leadership appears to be working aggressively to resolve those, doing so will take time and effort, and there is some pain and frustration in the meantime.

The co-workers are awesome. I'll miss 'em. You get free snacks and sodas in the kitchen. You have "unlimited" sick time but if you use it they try to criticize you for it. The culture was awesome at one point, but current leadership is doing everything they can to change that

The owner pretends to be open to feedback or criticism but in reality is not. He believes he is smarter than you so why should he listen to you? Gets way too philosophical and loses focus on what matters. Inherited the company, didn't earn it, and it shows. Overspent to acquire a company and failed to capitalize on it, making the company as a whole suffer so he can keep driving his Tesla. No raises or Christmas parties for 2 years. Theres a reason they havent been a top workplace in a few years. The current VP of sales is utterly out of touch. New to the industry and also thinks he knows more than you. Very condescending. Doesn't know how to respond without hollow corporate jargon. Tries to make decisions for a team for which he doesnt know how to do basic tasks, like quoting. The sales operations manager is nice, but she has no idea what is going on and is there to take notes and get a paycheck. Way too much pressure on the sales team while the rest of the departments coast and get paid.
