Over the past year, significant changes have negatively impacted the work environment. New sales leadership has destroyed the once thriving culture, and support on deals has become limited to critiquing notes in Salesforce. Quota attainment is currently below 10% with no clear plans for improvement. Compensation is below market rates and the comp plan is designed to reduce the cost of sales. Additionally, the product is falling behind competitors, and it’s price premium makes closing deals increasingly challenging.

Work Environment and Culture: We recognize that a thriving culture is key to success. Significant organizational changes can often lead to challenges, but our leadership is dedicated to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. We encourage team members to share specific suggestions for cultural improvements through our internal feedback channels. 2. Sales Support and Leadership: Sales leadership is actively working to balance structured processes like Salesforce documentation with actionable support for closing deals. We are already seeing a very positive impact on our key success criteria. Constructive criticism is intended to guide and strengthen our team’s efforts, and we will always be open to recalibrating if these measures are not having the desired positive impact. 3. Quota Attainment and Compensation: Achieving quotas and fair compensation are critical aspects of employee satisfaction. We are assessing the factors influencing quota attainment and working on strategies to address these challenges. Compensation benchmarks are also under review to ensure alignment with market standards while maintaining sustainability. 4. Product Competitiveness and Pricing: Innovation and competitiveness are central to EcoVadis’ mission. While we strive to deliver premium value, we are aware of the competitive landscape and the importance of balancing performance. We have exciting ongoing investments being made to enhance our offerings and ensure they meet and exceed customer expectations. Fantastic people dedicated to a great mission Loved my team

Have you ever been in a toxic relationship before? Where you're enamored with this thing and you keep trying whatever it takes to make it work? You give yourself entirely to whatever it may be - job, person - and you realize at the end that you're better off without them? That is what EcoVadis was to me. I considered this company a dream job when I first got it, but after 2+ years I have realized I'm doing better elsewhere. The culture is trending downwards, the leadership is in an echo chamber (it seems leaders are only hired from Salesforce - nothing against Salesforce, but it didn't create a holistic leadership team), product is expensive, it is considered a nice-to-have by customers and not a vital core offering, the micromanagement is increasing, 0/30 NAM sales reps hit quota in 2024, and top reps are leaving either willingly or being put on PIPs. Morale was at an all time low when I left, and doesn't seem to be getting better. Listen, I've been in your shoes before, reader. You see a disgruntled employee going to town on their ex and you think, well it won't be the same for me. And I hope it won't, because this company does make a positive impact on the world, and I do wish the best for it, but right now the North America sales team is not where I would advise you to go.
