Ecometrica is an absolutely lovely workplace to be part of. It is a small to mid-size company, where upper management makes special efforts to communicate and reach out to the employees. Middle management is always available/communicative as well, and go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable with the work tasks given. If you are just starting out, it can be a steep learning curve but you learn a lot, very quickly, with the support of middle management and colleagues. There is a lot of room to grow and you if you are open to it, you get to see many sides and departments of the company. There are great prospects for the field of GHG accounting, GIS mapping and climate risk analyses, etc. This company is never stagnant, and always looking for new opportunities, clients, and business partners. The benefits and vacation are also **excellent**. Overall, the people here are kind, flexible, motivating, supportive, and understanding. I would 100% recommend it.
Svantaggi
At very busy periods of the year, it can be tough to take any time off, and some overtime might be needed. But the pros very much outweigh this one con!
Vantaggi
You get to work with very nice people.
Svantaggi
HR is a one person team with a lack of empathy. The company pretends to care about your well-being and feedback but if you bring issues up you are told there are no problems or that these issues are not real. There is also a lack of transparency regarding salaries, pay rises and promotions which seem to be driven by favouritism and, depending on your manager, sexism. A pay rise or promotion might only be obtained if you are in your manager’s good books, even though your work is top quality and you are not offered any feedback on improvements. Over time employees feel undervalued and resentment builds up. The politics of “get on with it or leave” is dominating, leading to very high turnover rates (which management or HR don’t seem to be concerned about).
