- You have no kind of autonomy regardless what your position is.
- The CEO is paranoid and wants to have control and close authority on everything that moves. And i do mean EVERYTHING.
- If you think you're being watched, that is because you are. There are people in the company that care for that. HR and Admin will monitor and make sure to update the CEO on: what time you get in and get out, how much time you spend in front of the monitor, how long is your lunch break and the list can go on.
- Most of the "upper management" are usually slacking, monitor the rest of the team and transmit how others perform to the "boss".
- The "benefits" are just marketing, once you dig into details you'll find out they don't exist.
- Aside from constant monitoring, Admin people care for: how many apples you ate in a Friday, how many light bulbs are installed (installed!) in each office, how much milk you consume for coffee (milk is only for coffee!). Absolute madness.
- Office is near the city center and parking is a pain, but the "management" really doesn't care - that is not a benefit Ecrion is concerned with.
- Constant gossip going on in upper management about the performance of others and even the personal life of employees. Sick!
- No vision, no strategy, no communication with employees.
- No clear evaluation and growth perspectives.
- Stick with Ecrion for 10 years and you'll probably get a watch for present. Don't dream about getting shares or anything.
- Internal processes and best practices don't exist. You either work 24/7 until you get the release out, or you can quit dreaming about any raise or a future in the company.
- The more senior employees are not true leaders, nor examples to follow in real life. Not much to learn from them anyway, with maybe 1-2 exceptions.
- Ecrion tends to hire junior people (because they're cheap) so the junior/senior ratio is roughly 10:1. Their salary does not grow too much in the first 2 years.
- If you don't have 40 hours of work at the end of the week (based on check in and check out, not performance) then you might find yourself in a discussion about your performance. Kind of ironic.
- Most smart people that end up there, leave, so you're constantly surrounded by "bosses" and "those that entertain bosses".
- Huge salary gaps between individuals with the same roles which are not based solely on performance. Rather based on whether you work directly on Ecrion's products or outsourced, on "connections" or on how often you threat management about leaving. So be the best at what you're doing, if you don't threat about leaving then, tough luck.
- Not a productive or healthy environment. There are almost 50 people crammed in an office space of about the size of 3 medium size apartments. That means: no meeting rooms, not enough space, not enough toilet rooms and generally not a very healthy space. When 1 person gets a cold, the entire office gets a cold. There is no proper kitchen (or eating area). There's an improvised eating area which is actually an office cubicle. In the afternoon, the smell from the food and toilets reaches the working areas.
