Vantaggi

The large office allows for many networking opportunities

Svantaggi

They overwork entry-level positions. I didn't know any better when I was first starting off in my career, so I stuck through it for three years, but it was three of the worst years of my life. I worked 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. every day, and they ignored my requests for help with my workload. And, many managers in the consumer department are poorly trained, leading to many unhappy employees. One of my managers yelled at me, unprofessionally, fairly often. When I talked to HR about the problem, they said they'd find a solution, but it never got better.

I'm happy to hear you found the networking opportunities at Edelman fruitful. There are so many amazing minds here and it's great that you took advantage of that. I'm sorry to hear about your workload and management concerns, however. You'll be pleased to hear that we're in the process of developing a new and improved management training and have newly instituted reporting efforts to better track overtime and we sincerely hope this will positively impact our employees' work lives. If you have any other feedback to share, I'd love to hear from you. Maria O'Keeffe, Executive Director, US HR

Vantaggi

Edelman gives you real exposure to senior leaders, complex work, and smart people. You can learn a lot quickly, build strong relationships, and get close to how decisions are made. There are also good opportunities to take on meaningful projects if you are proactive and willing to speak up.

Svantaggi

The pace can be a lot, and the work can feel reactive at times. Priorities shift quickly and roles often expand beyond the original scope without always having clear boundaries, title growth, or compensation changes. Career growth is possible, but you often have to advocate for it yourself. Overall, Edelman can be a great place to grow if you are adaptable, organized, and comfortable with ambiguity. It works best when you have strong leaders, clear expectations, and support around workload and growth. That last part is impossible to control, so may the odds be in your favor.
