Vantaggi
I really enjoy the relationship I have with my School Relationship Manager, Andy. He regularly goes above and beyond for me, so I can only imagine he does so for the clients too.
The SRMs are supported by a fab admin team too who make you feel very welcome if/when you pop into the office.
Negative feedback from schools is always handled sensitively, which I really appreciate as somebody who finds criticism difficult to take!
Preferences are taken into account - i.e. please don't send me back to school X because XYZ.
Work was regular, at the start of the year.
Of all the agencies I work for, Educate gave the best training courses.
Svantaggi
The company "does not do" variable rates. The rate was the rate and that was it, even if you are needed to travel to the very edge of the county - I'm sure the school were having to pay more as a result of this, so this needs to be reflected in the rate given to the CS/TA for petrol costs, if nothing else. I work for 2 other agencies and they do variable rates - there has been more than one occasion where I've favoured a work offer from another agency in favour of the higher variable rate.
After the Easter break, it has been a struggle to get work. I've noticed this across the agencies I work for and my SRM has advised that there are budgetary restrictions at this time of year, so not blaming Educate for this, but I would advise this is taken into account if you are considering agency work in this 'industry'.
