Most employees are not trusted enough to take work from home days but are expected to take work laptops home with them to do extra work on their personal time. Mandatory Benefits hardly cover anything and come out of the employees paycheque. new employees receive 5 days vacation in their first year even though they are told in the interview they would get 10, vacation section of contract is vague and doesn't state this. There's no company culture and this reflects in employee morale and quality of work

It's true that as a design and manufacturing company it's difficult to have people 'work from home'. This is where the people are, this is where the products are, this is where the machinery is. It's not really a question of trust - it's a reality that in most cases we need to be together, and hands-on, to solve our customer's problems. As to vacations, your facts are incorrect. Nobody at Egan has just one week per year of vacation. Two is the minimum (at Egan, and by law), and over 50% of employees have four or better. The Benefits are paid for jointly; over 80% of the monthly cost is covered by Egan. There is good coverage of many items (including Life Insurance, LTD, and copay drug and dental) and any job candidate is invited to review the package. However, it has been 5 years since a comprehensive review of the package has taken place, so that is occurring now. Egan has employees in the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s, from a range of different life circumstances, so it's likely that the benefits review (being conducted in consultation with some employees) will result in a change to a plan that has more employee-directed flexibility as to how it's enjoyed. As to responding to posts that are anonymous and may or may not be written by people from Egan, we'll continue to do so. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts, so we'll continue presenting additional information for candidates to consider. During the recruiting process, candidates are invited to meet with other people from Egan (for example, in the department they'll be working in) to get the best sense of what it's really like here. At the end of the day, the "company" is a collection of people who want to work hard, be fulfilled, and enjoy their day, just like you.

Other employees are great people You get a paycheck

Employees are not valued at all. They are seen as easily replaceable and disposable. President would rather lose hard working employees than give them what they deserve such as bonuses, raises, benefits and good working conditions (turn the heat on it's not that expensive!!!). Upper management gets treated like royalty however don't expect to reach that level as positions are hired for externally rather than giving internal staff a chance.

Employees ARE great people! We have both plenty of new hires (owing to growth) as well as people who have been with Egan over 30 years! It's pretty awesome. I'll share a few facts: Our compensation packages do, in fact, include competitive pay, bonuses, and benefits, and yes even heat (?). Anyone we invite to join the great people from Egan is given a written copy of all of this to consider for a minimum of 3 days before being asked for a decision.
