      EMKAY is a strong family oriented company, because its roots are firmly planted in a family's hands. As such, they promote a culture that puts more emphasis on employee needs. Yes, there are goals to be met, but they are realistic and do not interfere with family life. As a result, when we do have critical tasks that require more attention there is a greater willingness from everyone to be more flexible to EMKAY's needs when extra involvement is needed.

      EMKAY has offices in the US and Canada. Sometimes, it feels like we could do better to get better camaraderie between these offices. We all do work toward a common goal, but because of distance, there is a bit of disconnect at times.

      Good pay, decent benefits, weekends off, staggered shift schedule, amazing people

      no room for promotion or growth, CEO will absolutely not use a remote or hybrid work model, CEO creates hostile work environment almost similar to a feudal system with peasants and nobility with the senior leaders/long time career employees VS. the overworked and underpaid employees with no clear direction, employees are forced to “wear" too many hats and are not compensated for the volume of work, mandatory “fun” work activities scheduled after work and unpaid, if employees do not show they are “punished” or ostracized from the inner circle at this place. Only one HR employee who handles 160+ employees. Plumbing would go out frequently and employees were not allowed to use any facilities during those times. I could go on and on.
