The company has a very horizontal setup, so you will be able to get right into things early on, and make a real contribution. Co-workers are great, and start time is somewhat flexible. The owner and management are supportive and involved.

There doesn't seem to be a focused business plan. They go after whatever contracts come up. The focus on cutting-edge one-offs, rather than mass-producable products, limits profits, in my opinion.
There is not much real mobility within the company because of the very horizontal structure.
The owner has a somewhat abrasive way of getting criticism across if you're not used to it.
