Vantaggi
- Trauma bonding with colleagues - Lack of structure, expectations, processes, & communication ensures your day is always a surprise - Invaluable education on topics like gaslighting, narcissism, toxicity, dishonest sales techniques - There have been a few recent hires that seem to understand the situation and are working hard on changing the culture. I'm skeptical that they will succeed in this, but for the sake of the genuinely good people left at Entromy, I'm optimistic.
Svantaggi
- Employees are hired under false pretenses, CSMs asked to be consultants, Account managers asked to focus almost exclusively on cold-call sales. Read between the lines in the other reviews "hey, that's start-up life it's not for everyone" - Senior leadership is a revolving door - New senior leaders brought on and put in front of as many clients as possible, once they fail to turn the company around in their first few months, they fall out of favor and are micromanaged daily. This frustration filters down to their teams. Your role as a senior leader is to act as a buffer between the CEO and your team. - Positive reviews are solicited directly from new employees to respond to negative reviews - Constant strategy shifts with success being an incredibly narrow, undefined goalpost - CEO is allergic to feedback but asks for it constantly. When a customer leaves, client feedback is dismissed, the employee is blamed and is then asked "why is this the first time I'm hearing this feedback". It's not. - Company avoids paying commissions or bonuses. When this resulted in difficult conversations, they haphazardly restructured compensation plans, baking in unrealistic goals. - In this job market, more than half of employees who leave are doing so without anything else lined up. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs.
