Mostly good colleagues. The plant was an enjoyable job.

Poor management, double standards if you speak your mind or point out problems. After repeated requests for relevant PPE and after several preventable accidents I called H&S. Soon after the visit I was sacked for making a negative comment about management in a private conversation on social media. Someone who had previously posted similar was given a warning. Instead of looking at the reason for the opinion, like adults, they threw their doll out of the pram, then lied and claimed it was nothing to do with my phoning H&S. ACAS thought differently. Twice in 12 months this company have had actions taken against them.

Manager can be baffled easily as doesn't have a clue how long it takes to do anything. So if your happy to play the long game once over 48 hours you will start to earn overtime. However a 45 minute break is deducted each day worked.

Badly planned, favours for some not for others ( if you buy the Friday curry for them from Birmingham you won't have to do nights out or the longest runs). Four day working is available but not for all. Night shunter is job to get gets same pay as 48hrs but only works 40hrs also doesn't do nights anymore and doesn't load any wagons, just moves them 35 yards then opens curtains. 20 wagons to do so only takes about an hour to do all. Very unorganized pay rise system you won't get one until minimum wage is more than class 2 drivers.
